MCHENRY, Ill. (AP) - A coin toss or pack of cards could be used to determine the winner of one aldermanic race in McHenry.

The (Crystal Lake) Northwest Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1H7xsuw ) that candidates Andy Glab and James Walsh were deadlocked at 136 votes each after vote tallying on Tuesday.

McHenry County Clerk Mary McClellan says provisional and mail-in ballots still need to be counted. But she says if the race remains tied it would come down to a coin flip or a high-card draw. Official election results are due by April 22.

Glab is the incumbent. He has been on the council for 18 years. Walsh is looking for his first seat on the council.

McHenry has about 27,000 residents. It’s about 50 miles northwest of downtown Chicago in McHenry County.
