JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - Habitat for Humanity Mississippi Capital Area is celebrating a milestone Friday with the dedication of its 600th house.

The 600th house, located in north Jackson, was funded by the Selby and Richard McRae Family Foundation.

The McRae family will be honored at the dedication.

Cindy Griffin, executive director of HFHMCA, says in a news release that the McRae Foundation has financed nine Habitat homes. In 2009, the foundation donated an office and warehouse facility which is now the organization’s headquarters.

HFHMCA serves Hinds, Rankin and Madison counties.
