SALEM, Ore. (AP) - The Oregon House has unanimously approved a bill to designate a section of Oregon Highway 7 near Baker City as Mabry Anders Memorial Highway.

Republican Rep. Cliff Bentz of Ontario introduced House Bill 2981 to honor the 21-year-old Baker City soldier who was killed in Afghanistan in 2012.

The Baker City Herald reports (https://is.gd/CBuZa8 ) that the section of highway is between Baker City and Phillips Reservoir.

The bill now moves to the state Senate, where it is expected to pass unanimously.
