LIVINGSTON, La. (AP) - Authorities say one man has been arrested in a suspicious death investigation in Livingston.

In a news release, the sheriff’s office says police were called to a home Tuesday where they found the body of 55-year-old Stacey Smith. He is believed to have died late Monday evening or early Tuesday morning.

Livingston Police Chief Randy Dufrene (doo-FRAIN’) says an autopsy was performed Wednesday, but officials have not yet determined a cause of death.

Dufrene says officers arrested 64-year-old Joseph Wilson, who also lived at the home.

Wilson was booked Tuesday on one count each of obstruction of justice and possession of a Schedule IV controlled dangerous substance. His bond has been set at $35,000.

Jail officials couldn’t provide the name of a defense attorney to comment on the charges.
