MITCHELL, S.D. (AP) - A Mitchell man accused of driving drunk, fleeing police and causing a three-vehicle crash has pleaded not guilty to several charges.

Thirty-four-year-old Charles Reed is accused of injuring four people last month, including two juveniles, their mother and a police officer. Authorities say the March 20 incident began when Reed allegedly tried to kick down the door of an apartment.

The Daily Republic reports (https://bit.ly/1FqKWgn ) that Reed this week pleaded not guilty to third-offense drunken driving, aggravated eluding, vehicular battery, and injury hit and run. He’s to stand trial in July.
