KELLEYVILLE, Okla. (AP) - The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says a Creek County man was shot and killed when three county deputies and a Bristow police officer opened fire after he struck another Bristow officer with a pickup truck.

The OSBI says Mark Smith of Kellyville died about 2 a.m. Thursday at a Tulsa hospital after being shot Wednesday night.

The agency says deputies were called to a domestic dispute involving Smith and his estranged wife. Investigators say when the deputies arrived, Smith went into a building where he was living, then drove out in the pickup and what appeared to be a rifle.

The OSBI says Smith knocked an officer to the ground with the truck and other officers then opened fire. The agency says the officer wasn’t seriously injured.
