BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) - The Gov. Louie B. Nunn Kentucky Teacher Hall of Fame is accepting nominations for next year’s inductees.

A statewide committee selects inductees from living or deceased people who have spent a significant portion of their careers in Kentucky and who have contributed to the lives of young people in school settings.

Nominations will be accepted through July 15. The nomination form is available at https://www.wku.edu/kythf/nominations.php .

Nunn, who was governor from 1967 to 1971, died in 2004. His gift established the Hall of Fame in 2000, and it was placed at Western Kentucky University because of its history in teacher education.

A total of 24 people have been inducted into the Hall of Fame.
