KENNER, La. (AP) - Police say a mother drove two of her children and another child to a location in Kenner so they could fight another group of juveniles, resulting in one of the children being shot.

It happened Wednesday around 5 p.m.

Police say 35-year-old Lakenya Hall, of Kenner, took the children after a previous fight at a bus stop. While at the second location, a 14-year-old was shot in the upper thigh. He was treated at an area hospital.

Hall was booked with six counts of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and disturbing the peace. She remains in custody.

A 15-year-old was booked with aggravated battery, illegal possession of a handgun, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, illegal use of a weapon and disturbing the peace.

Another 15-year-old and an 11-year-old face charges of disturbing the peace by fighting.
