HOLYOKE, Mass. (AP) - Police have released the identity of a man shot to death in Holyoke on Easter Sunday.

Investigators on Wednesday said 30-year-old Luis Guillermo Burgos was shot once in the back on Chestnut Street at about 6 p.m. Sunday.

The Holyoke resident was taken to a hospital in a private vehicle where he was pronounced dead.

Police say there was some kind of altercation before the shooting, but there have been no arrests and no suspects identified.

The death was the city’s second homicide of the year. There were three homicides in Holyoke in 2014.
