LAS VEGAS (AP) - A 28-year-old Las Vegas woman is accused of shooting her boyfriend in the leg after he refused to leave his wife.

Las Vegas police arrested Banessa Caballero on a charge of attempted murder Sunday.

A police report says 47-year-old Miguel Perez dated Caballero for about two years and was lying on her apartment floor wearing boxer shorts Sunday when Caballero pointed a gun at him. Police say three shots were fired before Perez wrestled the gun away and escaped to his truck.

Police say Perez called his wife who took him to the hospital.

Court records show she was released Wednesday on $250,000 bail on house arrest and told to stay away from Perez.

Caballero is due in court for a preliminary hearing on April 22.
