LOGAN, Utah (AP) - Three teenagers have been arrested after they crashed a vehicle fleeing an armed camper in Logan Canyon.

The Cache County Sheriff’s Office says 18-year-old Josh Haag was booked Friday on charges of obstruction, vehicle burglary and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. A 16-year-old girl and 17-year-old boy have also been detained on similar charges.

Sheriff Chad Jensen says the camper caught them at his campsite around 4:30 a.m. Friday.

The camper told deputies he fired one round into the ground, causing them to leave.

The vehicle they left in then crashed less than a mile away.

The teens made their way down Logan Canyon and reported the shooting.

A SWAT team responded to the area. After interviewing the camper, authorities decided no charges would be filed against him.
