CALEDONIA, Wis. (AP) - Police say a 13-year-old girl was struck and killed along a road in Caledonia.
Authorities say an SUV was northbound on a two-lane rural road with no sidewalks, crossed the center line, traveled across the southbound lane and hit the girl Sunday evening. The SUV then hit a utility pole, injuring the driver.
The Journal Times of Racine reports (https://bit.ly/1P25zFS ) that Caledonia Police Lt. Gary Larsen identified the girl Monday as 13-year-old Sara Dresen, of Caledonia.
The 32-year-old SUV driver was jailed pending criminal charges.
