WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (AP) - Legoland Florida is spreading its money around.

The theme park resort said last week its Legoland dollars would be available at 55 Travelex locations in Florida, Atlanta, Houston and other cities.

Travelex is the world’s largest foreign exchange business.

The Legoland dollars will have a one-to-one “exchange rate” with U.S. dollars, and they can only be spent at Legoland’s restaurants, concessions and stores.

Theme park visitors who exchange $50 for 50 Legoland dollars will get perks at the theme park.

Those perks include free parking, an upgrade to the resort’s water park and an order of apple fries at its restaurants.
