AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say more than a dozen handguns were stolen after thieves broke into Cabela’s Outpost in Augusta.

The Augusta Chronicle reports (https://bit.ly/1Mfy2Zs) that deputies responded to the store shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday because of an alarm activation. Authorities say the deputies saw two large concrete stones which had been used to smash a glass window.

The Augusta newspaper reports that a sheriff’s K-9 and helicopter unit were called to the scene, but no suspects were found.

Authorities said 14 handguns were stolen, with a value of nearly $5,000.
