NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - A 24-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder by child abuse in the death of his 2-year-old stepdaughter in Norman.

The Oklahoman (https://bit.ly/1JSFhq0 ) reports Tyler Jay Young was charged Monday. He has pleaded not guilty. According to a Cleveland County court affidavit, the girl died of multiple injuries, including trauma to her stomach that led to massive internal bleeding.

Young was arrested last week after he called 911 and reported the girl was unresponsive. The 2-year-old was transported to Norman Regional Hospital and then transferred to Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, where she died.

It was not immediately clear if Young has an attorney.
