WARSAW, Ind. (AP) - A company that supplies and processes medical grade raw materials will build a plant in northern Indiana that’s expected to eventually employ more than 70 people.

The Journal Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1HCad7V ) Banner Medical announced Monday that it will invest $6.3 million to build a state-of-the-art, 43,000-square-foot material processing center at the Warsaw Technology Park.

Company officials say the plant will create up to 76 new jobs by 2019 at the site about 40 miles northwest of Fort Wayne.

The privately-held company is a subsidiary of Illinois-based Banner Service Corp. Its Warsaw plant will deliver medical grade materials and “unique value-added services.”

The company says those services will allow for lower inventory levels and an improved flow of supplies for local and regional customers in the medical device industry.
