BENTONVILLE, Ark. (AP) - A bondsman has been arrested on multiple drug and firearm charges in Benton County.
The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette (https://bit.ly/1To3ZiO ) reports 29-year-old bondsman was arrested Monday. According to Benton County Sheriff Kelley Cradduck, the bondsman was at the Benton County Sheriff’s office bonding out an inmate when the clerk observed the bondsman acting erratically.
The clerk notified a deputy, who approached the bondsman. He consented to having his vehicle searched. Deputies say a handgun, shotgun and several badges were found in the vehicle. Authorities say a small bag of methamphetamine was confiscated from the bondsman’s sock while he was being booked into jail.
The bondsman faces charges of possession of drugs and firearms and possession of a controlled substance, as well as public intoxication.
