AUBURN, Wash. (AP) - An Auburn official has been arrested for investigation of driving under the influence in a city-owned vehicle.

KOMO-TV reports (https://is.gd/n3SZ6M ) police arrested Auburn Director of Administration Michael Hursh at about 2 a.m. Monday.

Hursch has worked for the city for nine years. He has been charged with driving under the influence and was released from jail after a Tuesday court appearance.

The mayor’s office says Auburn Mayor Nancy Backus placed Hursh on administrative leave following the arrest.
