A photo of two East Texas police officers, one black and one white, with the words “his life matters” written on their palms has gone viral on social media.

The photo of Trinity Police Chief Steven Jones and Officer Donald Givens first appeared on the Trinity Police Department Twitter feed on May 6, but it didn’t gain steam until it was shared on Facebook Monday by American Conservatives of Color, a local CBS affiliate reported.

That post has been shared nearly 105,000 times.

The officers’ message plays off the “Black Lives Matter” movement, which calls attention to police brutality against black people.

This isn’t the first time Chief Jones and Officer Givens have been in the national spotlight.

Along with other Trinity officers, they were featured in CMT’s 2012 reality TV series “Big Texas Heat,” CBS reported.
