LANGHORNE, Pa. (AP) - Officials have charged a father in the 2014 overdose death of his 2-year-old son in suburban Philadelphia.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports (https://bit.ly/1IFR9JZ ) Levittown resident Coco Wallace was charged with a general count of criminal homicide in his son Sebastian’s death at their Middletown Township apartment.

Officials say Sebastian ingested a fatal dose of prescription painkillers while in his father’s care.

Police say an informant in the Bucks County jail told officers that Wallace admitted to killing his son to get back at the boy’s mother. The informant said Wallace believed the woman was cheating on him when they were dating and wasn’t sure if Sebastian was actually his son.

Wallace denied the claims, telling police the informant sold drugs in prison and was angry he wouldn’t buy any.
