MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - Attorney and former Horry County executive committeeman Russell Fry has won the runoff for the GOP nomination in State House District 106 on the Grand Strand.

Local media outlets report he captured 60 percent of the vote on Tuesday in defeating Horry County Councilman Tyler Servant. The two were the top vote-getters in last month’s four-way GOP primary.

Rep. Nelson Hardwick had held the seat for a decade before resigning in May after an investigation into a sexual harassment complaint by a House staffer.

There is no Democrat running in November in the district that includes Surfside Beach and Garden City.
