BECKLEY, W.Va. (AP) - An inmate has pleaded guilty to escaping the Federal Prison Camp at Alderson.

Fifty-four-year-old Patricia Alfieri of New York entered her plea Wednesday in federal court in Beckley.

Alfieri was captured in Lewisburg on June 28 after 10 days on the run.

Federal prosecutors say Alfieri faces up to five additional years in prison. Sentencing has been set for Nov. 18.

Lewisburg police said Alfieri had been staying in a wooded area near a Lewisburg hotel, about 16 miles southwest of Alderson, and was captured after officers received a complaint about a woman trying to steal hotel towels.

She was serving a 41-month sentence for mail fraud and making a false tax return and had a scheduled release date of next February.
