GREENVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Authorities in south Alabama say a man whose body was found in his deep freezer died from a gunshot wound to the back of the head.

District Attorney Charlotte Tesmer tells WSFA (https://bit.ly/1EpJUBV ) an autopsy determined the shooting killed Michael Dwayne Graham. Graham was reported missing 10 days before authorities found his body in the freezer at his mobile home in Greenville.

Investigators have said Graham’s car was abandoned in the Atlanta area and the person who had been driving it was tracked to North Carolina. Sheriff’s officials say evidence gathered there led to a search warrant being granted for Graham’s home. The driver is a person of interest in his death but has not been named.

The person is being held on domestic abuse charges in North Carolina.
