DOVER, Del. (AP) - A crash between a dump truck and a tractor trailer in Dover closed State Route One at the Dover Air Force Base for several hours.

Delaware State Police troopers say it happened Thursday around 5 a.m. as the driver of a dump truck loaded with stone approached Exit 93. Troopers say the driver’s attention was distracted momentarily and he drifted to the right shoulder where he struck the trailer portion of a tractor trailer that was illegally parked underneath an overpass.

Troopers say the dump truck overturned, spilling the stone. The dump truck driver was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and cited for inattentive driving. The driver of the tractor trailer was in the sleeper portion of the truck and uninjured. He was cited for parking in a no stopping zone.
