PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities say an ex-convict has been arrested in a 2005 fatal shooting outside a Phoenix bar.

Bond was set at $200,000 for 39-year-old Jerrold Micah Burnett at his initial court appearance Thursday.

He doesn’t have an attorney yet.

Court documents show Burnett was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder and armed robbery.

Police say Burnett allegedly shot 29-year-old Chad Cassidy outside Wild Bill’s Saloon in Phoenix on July 1, 2005.

According to court documents, Cassidy was leaving the bar when he was approached by two armed men.

The men demanded money and Cassidy was fatally shot in the head.

Police say they found DNA on a cigarette butt at the scene and matched the DNA to Burnett, who has previously served prison terms for aggravated assault and drugs.
