LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - A former teacher’s aide for a West Texas school district faces up to 20 years in federal prison for trading in child pornography.

Justin Benedict Morales of San Angelo pleaded guilty Wednesday to transportation of child pornography.

The 40-year-old Morales remains in custody pending sentencing by a federal judge in Lubbock.

Investigators say Morales last November used the Internet to send at least eight child porn images via instant messaging. Prosecutors say Morales used several Yahoo IDs to transport and trade images and videos of child pornography.

His laptop and other computer devices were seized during a raid of his home in May.

Morales formerly worked for the San Angelo Independent School District. Administrators say no complaints were received about Morales related to the criminal allegations that later surfaced.
