TIMMONSVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Honda of South Carolina is investing $42 million at its Florence County plant, creating 44 new jobs at the facility that makes all-terrain and side-by-side vehicles.

The company announced on Thursday that it is building two new vehicles - the Pioneer 1000 and the Pioneer 1000-5. Production of the new lines is already under way.

Honda’s Timmonsville plant is one of the company’s 16 manufacturing facilities in North America. It opened in 1998 and has produced more than 2.5 million all-terrain vehicles.
