DURHAM, N.H. (AP) - Kayakers representing three groups have started removing trash on the Great Bay shorelines to keep the area clean.

The cleanup Thursday is focusing on islands and other areas most often visited by the public in the Great Bay Estuary.

The program is called the Great-Bay Piscataqua Waterkeeper. Participants patrolling the shores are from the Conservation Law Foundation, Timberland of Stratham and Seven Rivers Paddling of Newmarket.
