NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) - North Las Vegas police are identifying a 34-year-old ex-convict arrested after a fatal shooting overnight as Anthony Glasper.

Officer Aaron Patty said Thursday that Glasper and the 35-year-old victim knew each other, and the shooting a little after midnight was not a random act.

The name of the victim wasn’t immediately made public.

Glasper was being held at the Las Vegas City Jail pending an initial court appearance on murder and weapon charges.

Patty says it appears the two men argued before multiple shots were fired on Valley Regal Way, near the victim’s home.

The wounded man was found unconscious in the street and was pronounced dead at University Medical Center in Las Vegas.

Patty says Glasper was arrested when he returned to neighborhood, near Craig Road and Decatur Boulevard.
