GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - Police in Grand Rapids are investigating whether a shooting is connected to a vigil for a slain teen that was held nearby.

Police say it appears shots were fired Wednesday night at a person on a bike on the city’s southeast side. Officers heard the shots, stopped a car nearby and arrested two people. There were no immediate reports of anyone wounded in the shooting.

WOOD-TV reports a home was struck by a bullet.

The shots were fired near where 17-year-old Marquaan Crosby was fatally shot early Wednesday. Friends and family held a vigil Wednesday night for Crosby at the intersection where he was shot. Relatives have offered a plea for the public to help find his killer.

Police say they’ve increased patrols in the area due to recent violence.
