OCALA, Fla. (AP) - The Steinbrenner family has sold three Ocala hotels to a Canadian-based company for more than $30.7 million.

The recent sale of the Courtyard by Marriott, the Residence Inn and the Fairfield Inn & Suites means the Kinsman Hotel Association is out of the Ocala hotel market. Company president Don Steimle says the corporate office will remain in Ocala.

The Ocala Star-Banner (https://bit.ly/1hzEsr6 ) reports American Hotel Income Properties of Vancouver purchased the hotels.

The company operates two hotels in Sarasota and one in Jacksonville. Hal Steinbrenner, the youngest son of former New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner, has managed the company for years.

The Steinbrenner name has been part of the Ocala hotel industry for decades. For years it was home to Steinbrenner’s Ramada Yankee Inn and Convention Center.
