BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - Authorities have released the names of two people who were killed when their motorcycle crashed into a Jeep near Boulder.

The Boulder County coroner’s office identified the victims Friday as 65-year-old Michael Katke, of San Clemente, California; and 52-year-old Angel Philp, of San Juan Capistrano, California.

Investigators say the motorcycle was headed east on a stretch of U.S. 36 known as North Foothills Highway, near Lefthand Canyon, when the driver of the Jeep headed the opposite direction made a left turn.

Colorado State Patrol Trooper Nate Reid tells The Daily Camera (https://goo.gl/SnmV2I ) the driver turned in front of the motorcycle.
