PITTSBURGH (AP) - An elderly western Pennsylvania woman has survived a kitchen fire thanks to her daughter and a quick-thinking neighbor.

Firefighters say Margaret Bock daughter and neighbor Larry Buches pulled her from the burning Baldwin home around 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

Buches then used a garden hose to fight the blaze until firefighters arrived.

Bock suffered smoke inhalation.

Firefighters say she called her daughter for help after falling while cooking.

Baldwin is about 7 miles south of downtown Pittsburgh.
