PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - The Oregon Department of Corrections says an inmate who escaped from a Portland prison nearly two weeks ago is back in custody.

U.S. marshals arrested 35-year-old Danny Spillers on Friday evening. Other details about his capture were not immediately available.

Spillers escaped on Aug. 2 through a window in the prison kitchen. He had been in prison since June on four counts of burglary in the second degree and one count of unauthorized use of a vehicle. His earliest release date is April 13, 2017.
