SUNBURY, Pa. (AP) - A Pennsylvania mother whose 9-year-old died from a fatal dose of oxycodone while in the care of a convicted felon is facing prison time.

Thirty-year-old Angela Clark pleaded guilty Friday in Northumberland County court to two counts of endangering the welfare of children.

The Daily Item of Sunbury reports (https://bit.ly/1TCN0JH ) that Clark is to be sentenced Sept. 28.

Police say 58-year-old Victor Hare was watching the victim last October when the boy’s half-brother woke him to say the boy had died.

Clark initially claimed she’d had no knowledge of Hare’s criminal past. But police said numerous witnesses, including the victim’s half-brother, told investigators that Clark knew of Hare’s drug problem and unsuitable home environment and had been warned by friends and family not to leave the children in his care.
