NORFOLK, Va. (AP) - Norfolk International Airport reported more than a 6 percent increase in passenger traffic in July compared with the same month in the previous year.
The airport says it had about 299,000 passengers, compared with a July 2014 passenger count of about 281,000.
Since January, the number of passengers has decreased about 2 percent compared with the same period in 2014.
In cargo activity, more than 5 million pounds were shipped in and out of the airport during July. That’s more than a 9 percent increase from the same month last year. Since January, cargo activity has increased more than 6 percent compared with the same period last year.
