HUNTINGTON, N.Y. (AP) - A Staten Island man has been arrested after police say he tried to steal 800 pounds of used cooking oil from a Long Island business.

Suffolk County police say Joskey Henry was arrested Friday on a misdemeanor petit larceny charge.

Authorities said officers patrolling in Huntington saw Henry trying to remove the cooking oil from a container behind a pizza store.

Sgt. Michael Morse tells WNBC-TV (https://bit.ly/1JiEakO ) Henry allegedly used a gas-powered sludge pump to remove the oil.

He says Henry was loading the cooking oil into tanks inside his van.

Morse estimated the oil would be worth about $192.

It was not immediately clear whether Henry had an attorney who could comment on his behalf.
