RIVERTON, Wyo. (AP) - In the wake of the July shooting at a city-owned alcohol detoxification center, Riverton employees have requested additional security measures.
Twenty-nine-year-old Stallone Trosper died and 50-year-old James “Sonny” Goggles was critically injured in the July 18 shootings at Center of Hope. Thirty-two-year-old Roy Clyde of Riverton faces murder and attempted murder charges.
The Ranger reports (https://bit.ly/1MnrRCH ) that city department heads met with staff members to address concerns stemming from the shooting. Officials say they are considering putting glass windows in offices or meeting rooms as well as a check-in system and waiting room for those who want to meet with city employees.
City administrator Steven Weaver says safety issues were a concern for employees before the shooting and that additional security measures were already being discussed.
