STOUGHTON, Mass. (AP) - Authorities say they have found more human remains in Stoughton while searching an area where a bone was discovered.

The Norfolk District Attorney’s Office says the remains were found Friday in an area near Simpson Road. A human bone was found in the same area by a passer-by on Thursday.

The remains were brought to the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Boston for an autopsy and other testing.

The area where the remains were found is near the home of the family of a missing man, Ilya Lastovkin, who was 22 years old when he vanished in 2009 after leaving the house.

Authorities say it’s too early to say whether this is any connection to unsolved cases or if foul play was involved.
