MOUNT VERNON, Mo. (AP) - Authorities in southwest Missouri have seized more than 3,000 marijuana plants with a potential value of nearly $2.5 million.

Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office says deputies seized 3,010 marijuana plants southwest of Mount Vernon on Wednesday. The department said in a release that the street value of the plants, if fully cultivated, could total nearly $2.5 million.

The department says some of the plants were 10-feet tall.

No arrests have been announced in connection with the seizure, and the sheriff’s department says it’s still investigating.
