ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (AP) - Howard County police say an industrial accident has killed two men working at a construction site in Ellicott City.

Police say two construction workers were thrown from the bucket of a lift machine when it tipped on its side. The men worked for Brothers Construction Framing Inc.

Police identified the workers who died as 31-year-old Rolando Lopez Mendez of Silver Spring and 31-year-old Erik Morales Ortiz of Hyattsville.

Rescuers were called to the scene Saturday morning and took the two men to a Howard County hospital where they died a short time later.

Police say the cause of the accident is unknown. Based on preliminary information, police say there is no evidence of foul play.
