SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Police are identifying the two people who died after their car collided with a Salt Lake City streetcar Friday evening.

South Salt Lake City police say 36-year-old Jessalyn L. Heaton was driving the car while 33-year-old Raymond Benally was in a passenger seat. Both were from Salt Lake City.

The Desert News (https://bit.ly/1EuoYJO) reported that a woman driving an Audi didn’t stop for the train at the intersection of 2200 South and 400 East in South Salt Lake around 7 p.m. There are no gates or warning lights at the intersection.

Police say none of the passengers on the S-line streetcar appeared to be hurt. The streetcars travel at speeds of 20 to 25 mph.

South Salt Lake police are still investigating the circumstances of the crash.
