BIRMINGHAM, Mich. (AP) - The Woodward Dream Cruise has returned for its 21st ride.

The annual celebration of classic car culture officially took over the thoroughfare Saturday. It runs through a number of Oakland County communities along the 16-mile route.

The cruise draws tens of thousands of classic and vintage cars, and hundreds of thousands of enthusiasts.

Among those taking in the spectacle were Missouri residents Gary Yager and Ken Wilson, both 71. Wilson tells The Detroit News it’s his first time attending but he’s heard all about it from Yager, a Dream Cruise regular.

Authorities say one of the classic cars has been reported stolen. They are looking for a red 1996 Chevrolet Corvette that was taken in the early afternoon from a Birmingham parking structure.
