COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Lottery drawings for permits to build blinds to hunt ducks and geese in waterfowl hunting season will be held at 17 Ohio park lakes and wildlife areas.

State officials say the drawings for more than 400 permits will be held Aug. 15 at the participating parks and wildlife areas.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources says applicants must appear in person at participating state park offices. They must have proof of a 2015 Ohio hunting license, state wetlands stamp endorsement in the applicant’s name and a signed 2015 or 2014 federal duck stamp.

Each hunter can apply for only one permit. Lottery winners must pay a $50 non-refundable fee and will have 45 days to construct their blinds. All blinds must be dismantled by March 15.
