MOSS POINT, Miss. (AP) - A Moss Point family got the news as they were traveling home from a graduation in Oklahoma: a fire had badly damaged their home.

WLOX-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1IRZqKS ) that the Saturday morning fire caused part of the roof to collapse at the home in Moss Point. Fire officials were called to the scene at 10:20 a.m. and were still battling hot spots Saturday afternoon.

The house belongs to a family of six who had been out of town since Wednesday. One of the children received a text message about the blaze and alerted the rest of the family.
