CINCINNATI (AP) - Athletes and coaches from nine Ohio counties will take part in state equestrian competition this weekend in suburban Cincinnati.

Special Olympics Ohio says there will be showmanship, barrel racing, trail riding and other events at the Winton Woods Riding Center. Some 178 athletes and coaches are expected Saturday and Sunday.

Special Olympics Ohio says it provides year-round sports training for more than 23,000 adults and children.

Home counties for the equestrian competitors this weekend are Fairfield, Franklin, Hamilton, Henry, Logan, Medina, Richland, Shelby and Summit.
