FLORENCE, Ariz. (AP) - A Pinal County jail inmate has died after complaining of chest pain and being taken to a hospital in Florence.

Sheriff’s spokesman Mark Clark says 52-year-old Benny Hensley of Arizona City was booked into the jail Friday night after being arrested on an outstanding felony warrant for drug possession. He was placed into the jail after being cleared by medical staff.

Hensley complained of chest pain just after 2 a.m. Saturday and was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:45 a.m.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death but Clark says there’s no sign of foul play.
