HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) - The owner of a tourist attraction in Hot Springs says thieves have stolen 13 alligators from the farm.

Arkansas Alligator Farm and Petting Zoo manager Jamie Bridges told reporters that surveillance video shows to people wearing masks breaking into the farm after 2 a.m. Saturday and stuffing the alligators into bags before jumping over a fence to leave.

Bridges says 12 of the alligators are less than a year old and about 12 inches long while the other is about 7 years old and three feet long.

The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission says it’s illegal to possess alligators in Arkansas without a permit.
