YUMA, Ariz. (AP) - A recent report by the Federal Aviation Administration shows a record number of passengers started their flights during 2014 at the Yuma International Airport.

The Yuma Sun reports (https://bit.ly/1MvwegN) that the number of passengers whose trips originated in Yuma totaled more than 90,000. That’s a 15 percent increase from 2013.

Two carriers, US Airways and United Airlines, worked out of the airport in 2014, but United pulled out in December of that year.

The exit of United is expected to make that figure fall somewhat in 2015.
