MAGNOLIA, Del. (AP) - Delaware state troopers are searching for a suspect in a hit-and-run accident that left one man injured.

Police say the incident occurred just before 7 a.m. on Sunday. Police say a 77-year-old man was walking on his property when he was struck by a car traveling eastbound on Walnut Shade Road that had veered off the roadway. The car also struck the man’s mailbox.

Police say the man was thrown into the street from the impact, and was taken to a local hospital with several traumatic but non-life threatening injuries.
